It was born 8 years ago, initially as the local portal of Manacor, called InfoManacor. Today, with more than 10 million pages viewed and 500.000 visitors each month, this site has become one of the most popular and widely-visited websites of the Islands.

At InfoBalear we provide information services such as for example, meteorological forecasts, lottery results, street map, emergency chemists, public transport timetables, entertainment guides, etc.
InfoBalear People
Created in 2003 way before the surge of social networks on the Internet. In a short space of time it became the largest social network in Baleares, with more than 85.000 users, 15 million comments and 1 million images.

Infox, the InfoBalear mascot
The initial idea
In 2006 we began the development of our mascot which subsequently would be presented to and warmly received by the users. It was designed wholly by our team using 3D Studio Max.
The name
So that the new character would be closer to the users, we decided to create a competition with prizes to decide upon a name and, after many suggestions and a vote, “Infofox” was decided upon.
Current impact
The image of Infofox has become synonymous with change, with innovation and with new prizes which can be won each week by those who participate in our Gente InfoBalear game.
